We needed a break! I feel way more stressed out since we've lived here in WI than I have anywhere I think. You would think WI would be more laid back, but something about it makes me grind my teeth all the time! LOL. We have one more year here (just about, the end of our tour here is Dec) so one way or the other I'll be done with WI before TOO long.

I can't wait till he gets his combs and starts making some yarn too! I'm not much of a knitter, but I'll figure something out!

Hey Jenny!

I am so very sorry to hear about Brooni. We love our fur babies and it's devastating lose them. Stay strong, Hun!

Last Year, Husband and I visited my aunt and uncle and they took us to Weeki Wachee Springs. It was so much fun! Husband was bored by it, but I thought it was great and would love to go back. Make sure you take plenty of pics.

I hope you and Travis have a great trip and get a chance to unwind.

Talk to you soon!

Rating This sewing michane is awesome for a basic sewing michane! Nothing is complicated. I am a true beginner and I have had no problems threading the michane or even winding a bobbin. The instruction manual is very easy to follow. It comes with many attachments and tools (that I don't know how to use) so you actually can go beyond basics (like hemming pants in my case). The michane is very lightweight and comes with a nice case. The price is not at all expensive, especially if you catch it with super saver shipping (thanks, Amazon). The only issue if anything is the plastic foot pedal; it is very easy to start stitching really fast. I was used to a heavy metal one before there is a difference, but that's my issue, not the sewing michanes.

What I like about Chie Mihara is she captures 40s glam in some styles but 70s funk in other shoes. So fun! My favorite Chie supplier (love the personal customer service--they remember me from one order to the next), Ped Shoes, just got in a similar shoe. Same t-strap and color, but a flower that's kind of hydrangea-like. I also love, love, love this blue heel with the same kind of rosette as above. If only my ship would come in...

Glad you liked it! I'm sorry the photos aren't better, but I am not a great photographer to start with, and the rental house we live in gets very little natural light for some reason.

You should be seeing some of them around because they have been consistantly popular for the last several summers, although I've never seen anyone wearing them in person. They always have loads of them at Target, which means they will end up at a thrift store soon, with as much merchandise as Target donates to Salvo's and GW. I actually also have a dark red one that I purchased at Thrift Store USA in Norfolk (my favorite Norfolk thrift store) for about $4 I just keep that one around in case I ever decide to go out side one day, LOL. Both of my hats were new with tags from Target originally.
