The Carrie Bicycle Basket
I have been lusting after the Carrie bicycle basket forever, since I saw it while looking for an image for another post a few years ago. The basket comes in white, black and kelly green. I think the white one would go great with my vintage style pink cruiser! The reason I don’t have one yet is because they still cost about $80. They are just adorable though! I love the lace look of them and the fact that if you buy (or make) a strap for it, it also becomes a shopping basket! Wouldn’t this be adorable at the farmer’s market or a summer bazaar?
Bonnie Gale Living Willow Structures

I was catching up on old episodes of Martha Stewart on the DVR when I saw an episode featuring a lady named Bonnie Gale who creates Living Willow structures from cut pieces of willow. Apparently with a little willow rooting tea you can build all sorts of things out of willow twigs which will then root and grow into the shape you formed them into. She does sculptures, archways, garden buildings and the most perfect fences! I would LOVE to have some of her fencing creations! She gave instructions for a simple fence and the rooting tea in the episode. She also makes gorgeous baskets of all shapes and sizes! Her website has all the info on her and her art that you could want, as well as lots of products and instruction kits (and a link to her Martha segment). I love willows in general, so this is something I will definitely be keeping in the back of my mind for my “dream farm” someday!
